Rabbeted Mortise Locks

A = Stile width from the high side of rabbet to the window stop or glazing.  (We allow 1/4″ for that.)

B = Door thickness

C = Backset from high side to center of knob or lever

D = Rabbet depth (3/8″ or 1/2″)

E = Door handing (see below)

F = Knob or lever (see below)  This affect the spring tension.

G =  Locking mechanism. (See below)
